A Croatian auto magazine has let leak the first (yes, they’re crude) images of Lamborghini’s Murcielago replacement, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 hypercar. Styling appears to have borrowed heavily from the limited edition Reventon and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept.

Set to be unveiled in Geneva, the much anticipated 690 bhp (507kW) 6.5-litre V12 leviathan – sports Lambo’s first all new engine since the Countach, is the first Lambo with an all carbon fibre monocoque chassis, a new ISR “independent shift-rod” seven-speed, single clutch automatic gearbox, and all wheel drive.

Performance is claimed to be around 0-100kph in 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 217mph (350kph). Straight in the firing line of the Ferrari 599 GTO.

Pre orders for the Aventador have been taken around the $350, 000 mark.
